PHYSIOTHERAPIST HOME VISIT

A physiotherapist home visit is an individual rehabilitation session provided at the patient’s place of residence. It is suitable when a person has difficulty or is unable to travel to a medical facility, or when safe and professional therapy is needed in the comfort of their own environment.

During a home visit, the physiotherapist:

  • Assesses the patient’s condition, taking into account symptoms, movement limitations, and functional abilities;
  • Prepares a personalized rehabilitation plan adapted to the home environment;
  • Conducts exercises, mobilizations, and soft tissue techniques to reduce pain, improve mobility, and increase strength;
  • Educates the patient and their family members on how to safely continue exercises independently;
  • Provides recommendations on ergonomics and home environment adjustments to facilitate daily activities and reduce the risk of injury.

Home visits are especially recommended:

  • After surgeries (knee, hip, shoulder, etc.);
  • After a stroke or in cases of neurological conditions;
  • For seniors with mobility difficulties;
  • For people with acute pain who have trouble moving;
  • For patients who prefer therapy in a familiar environment.

The goal is to improve the patient’s condition in a comfortable, safe, and accessible way, ensuring the same professional approach as in a clinic.
